The Akari Beanie takes its inspiration from Sashiko, a traditional Japanese embroidery technique that dates back to the 17th century and is used to make well-worn garments stronger and warmer. The leaf motif, synonymous with the changing seasons, is distinctly North American. Use of cotton threads for the embroidery creates a textural contrast. Lined around the band for comfort.
